What we collect

Your account. Your name, email address, what you told us you are (founder, investor and so on), your password (stored only as a one-way scrambled hash that cannot be turned back into the password), your plan, and when you joined and last logged in.

Your work. The cap tables, versions and notes you save, so they can be calculated and kept for you. We do not ask for personal identification or payment details in the tool.

Documents you bring in. When you upload a spreadsheet, Word or PDF document to be read, our server reads it to find the cap table and terms, shows them to you, and does not keep the file. Screenshots and photos are read inside your own browser and never uploaded. If you use the "your own AI" option, your documents go only to the AI service you choose, under its terms; you paste its answer here.

How the site is used. When you open a page we record which page, the website or campaign link that brought you, your device type, browser, operating system and country or region, and a random visitor code kept in your browser. We do not store your IP address. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, no visitor code is kept. When you sign up, we note how you first found us (for example a search engine or a campaign), and we record actions in your account such as creating a company, saving a version or downloading Excel. We use this to understand which pages help people and to run the business. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and this information is not shared with any analytics or advertising company.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use what you enter to train models.

Where it is kept and who can see it

Your data is kept on our server, sent over an encrypted connection, and only you (and people you choose to share a company with) can open your companies. The site owner can see account details and usage figures to run the service, but does not open your companies. Page-view records are deleted after two years.

Your choices

You can change your name and password, delete companies and versions, and delete your whole account from your account page; deleting your account removes your companies and work. To ask for a copy of your data or for anything else, contact us.
